recording engineer program
The Recording Engineer Program (REP) supports Black youth in Ottawa who are interested in building careers as a sound engineer. Through two small cohorts, participants gain practical experience in recording, mixing, mastering, and studio workflow while learning how to navigate client relationships and professional environments.
The program combines workshops, one-on-one mentorship, studio shadowing, and profile building to support both technical and career development. REP participants receive an honorarium for each workshop ($400 total), along with fully covered meals and transportation, ensuring the program is accessible for Black youth of all financial backgrounds.
